Cakes
are my canvas!
It was never my dream 'when I grow up' to become a cake
decorator. It wasn't until my sister's wedding in February 2008,
that for some reason, I decided to make her a wedding cake - a three
tiered, fondant covered cake with tiny snowflakes on it with real roses
on top. It was after this event that I realized
that I had stumbled onto a talent which I did not know I
had. Shortly
after, I took a cake decorating course at a local college and my love
for cake decorating grew. I could not wait to make my next
creation. In
August 2008, my mom and I opened up a bakery in Aylmer - Grandma's
Oven - where we sell fresh baked
goods (buns, pie, cookies, cheesecakes, a variety of squares, cakes,
etc.) every
day! Since then,
I have had the opportunity to create many cakes and develop my skills
more, still taking more classes when I can. I look forward to the next
confectionery challenge and
making one of my creations a part of your special day - whatever the
occasion may be, because cakes are
my canvas!
